The company history begins with the creations of the public corporation Myronivsky Hliboproduct at the initiative of the Chairman of Board of Myronivsky Hliboproduct Mr. Yuriy Kosyuk in 1998. In 1998 the close corporation Myronivsky Hliboproduct received a controlling interest in the Myronivsky Plant for Manufacturing Groats and Feeds («MGF»). Created as a result of the privatization of the groats production plant, MGF became the first important industrial member of the Myronivsky Hliboproduct group, having made the company one of the leading domestic grain trading enterprises in Ukraine in 1999–2000.

From the moment the company was founded its priority was to produce the fowl-flesh with the capacities of the Public Enterprise Poultry Factory «Peremoha Nova».

2000 was critical year for the Ukrainian poultry farming. For the first time after the nine-year period of recession, the statistics has shown growth of volumes of production of a fowl-flesh. In 2001, Myronivsky Hliboproduct stopped the activity as a grain trader and concentrated on the production of fowl-flesh with the gradual integration of full production process within the company.

In 1999–2001, the field of activity Myronivsky Hliboproduct has been considerably expanded because of the acquisition and creation of the Ukrainian companies, which started to function in the different segments of commercial production of fowl. During this period, the poultry factories Druzhba Narodiv Nova and close corporation Orel-Leader joined the group of the companies Myronivsky Hleboproduct.

In order to create a fully integrated complex the production capacities of two breeding poultry factories (the limited liability company Starinska poultry farm and the limited liability company Shakhtarska Nova) have joined the Myronivsky Hliboproduct group.

Due to investments and reconstruction Myronivsky Hliboproduct group has restored, modernized and put into operation the capacities of most of its companies. Since 2001 allof the poultry factories of Myronivsky Hliboproduct group were equipped with the up-to-date equipment and the uniform technology of cultivation of a bird took root. The uniform quality standards were applied to all of the products. In the beginning of 2002, Myronivsky Hliboproduct group started to introduce the investment project on expansion of the existing capacities, directed on doubling of volumes of release of the final production on all poultry factories.

In December 2001, Myronivsky Hliboproduct group has created the trade mark «Nasha Ryaba» for sale of fresh fowl flesh, which appeared in the market in February 2002. A year later the company introduced the franchising program for the ТМ «Nasha Ryaba». By the end of 2003, it opened about 900 retail outlets of the Myronivsky Hliboproduct group exclusively for sale of fresh fowl flesh under ТМ «Nasha Ryaba» in all the regions of Ukraine.

In December 2003, Myronivsky Hliboproduct group received the credit for 30 million US dollars for the expansion and modernization of the capacities from IFK. In May, they concluded the second credit contract for about 60 million. The money received in 2003 were directed towards financing of investment projects on the increase of capacities of the poultry farming on the new objects.

Year 2003 was a landmark in company’s history as the capacities that were created at the enterprises finally allowed to structure its parts into the integrated complex with the closed cycle of meat production that facilitated the supervision of the production quality and its cost price.

In particular, Myronivsky Hliboproduct group increased its economic independence due to its own production of the mixed fodders. Due to the fact that the mixed fodders have an essential share in the net cost of the production, the company was constantly trying to reduce the costs of their production. The year 2004 was also an important stage because Myronivsky Hliboproduct group started the operation on the procession of the sunflower seeds at the factory which was in property of MGF. They started to construct a new plant in order to receive their own phytogenous protein which is substantially contained in the sunflower oilcake. It made them independent from the imported production, and also led to the ultimate reduction of the mixed fodder cost price.

In December 2004, the limited liability company Tavriysky feed mill with productive capacity of 220 thousand tons of the mixed fodders per year joined the Myronivsky Hliboproduct group. In 2005 the Myronivsky Hliboproduct group established and began the modernization of the capacities of the limited liability company Zernoprodukt specializing in the cultivation of corn, wheat, barley and sunflower. The group also acquired the limited liability company Katerinopilsky Elevator, i.e. the capacities for grain storage. At the same the company started the construction of the feed mill.

During recent years the Myronivsky Hliboproduct group launched some new business initiatives focused on the diversification of its activity. In particular, the company has opened the Poultry farm «Snyatynska Nova», specializing on the cultivation of the goose liver and goose meat, and also the limited liability company Agrofirma «Kyevska» specializing on the cultivation of potato, wheat, rye, corn and cultivation of thoroughbred breeding large horned stock. In 2003 it opened the agricultural limited liability company Druzhba Narodiv — the complex project on the production of the beef of a premium-segment, as well as pork and the sausage products. As a result, in 2004 the Ukrainian market was renewed with the new trademarks, such as Certified Angus TM (delicacybeef) and ТМ «Fua Gra» (goose meat and liver). Moreover, in 2006 Myronivsky Hliboproduct group acquired the limited liability company Druzhba Narodiv Frukty and started to cultivate and sale the fruits.

In January 2006, Myronivsky Hliboproduct group completed the construction of the Myronivsky Meet Processing Factory Legko on the territory of the MGF. It is the largest modern domestic enterprise for the production of the meat semi-products which are available in the market under the ТМ «Legko» since January 2006. In January 2006, the company acquired the limited liability company Research and Production Firm «Urozhay» to expand the capacities on the production of grain; and also created another 2 companies on the cultivation of grain Lipovka and Agrofort.

2007 was marked by the putting into operation the first line of the Mironivska poultry factory that allowed to essentially increase the volumes of production of fowl by the company and to become the indisputable leader in the market.

Brands

Today the company releases its production under the following trade marks: Nasha Ryaba ТМ and Nasha Ryaba Apetitna ТМ (cooled chicken meat), Foie Gras ТМ (delicacy goose liver), Certified Angus ТМ (a delicacy beef from the Aberdeen-Angus breed), Lehko! ТМ (organic convenience meat products).

Distribution of Myronivsky Hliboproduct’s production is focused on direct sale. It is based on direct distribution centers (subsidiaries) located in Kyiv, Odesa, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Cherkasy and in Crimea.

Production delivery to all retail points is done in specialized lorries by the representatives of the subsidiaries personally.

This approach is due to the company’s desire to supervise not only their own manufacturing process, but the complete circuit starting from production delivery to shops up to the level of consumer service.

Two basic trade channels are used in the sales policy: a proprietary sales point network working under franchise conditions, and supermarkets. Today about 68% of production is distributed by way of proprietary sales point channels, and about 25% through supermarkets and shops.

In addition, Myronivsky Hliboproduct supplies different enterprises of the food industry, in particular hotels, restaurants and cafes. This sales channel makes up about 5% of the total amount of production, which is about 70% of the total amount of beef (Certified Angus TM) and 50% of goose liver (Foie Gras TM). Other production, which does not exceed 2%, is sold to processors, wholesalers, etc.

Along with the aforementioned brands, Myronivsky Hliboproduct manufactures and distributes sausage products, fruit, sunflower oil and potatoes.
