Air Onix was established in 2007 in Simferopol, the capital of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Ukraine).

 On April 28, 2012 Boeing-737 operated by Air Onix made the first flight from Simferopol to Kyiv (Kyiv Zhuliany Airport). From May to June of the same year the airline performed a series of charter flights to Antalya in addition to the scheduled flights that connect Kyiv and Simferopol. Same year the 1^st of July witnessed the launch of scheduled flights between Simferopol and Moscow (Domodedovo). Same summer Air Onix started to operate on a seasonal basis two flights from Simferopol to Lviv and from Simferopol to Saint Petersburg thus expanding its route network from Simferopol International Airport, serving as a base airport. In winter the number of flights was increased on account of launching new routes from Simferopol to Istanbul and Tel-Aviv. In the future the airline plans to develop new routes from two base airports located in Simferopol (Simferopol International Airport) and Kyiv (Kyiv Zhuliany Airport).
