Google Releases Stable Version of Chrome 8 | |
Author: utilmind |
Compared to Chrome 7, there are more than 800 bug fixes and stability improvements in Chrome 8, including support for Google’s upcoming web apps as well as a built-in PDF viewer. Chrome developers are working on several different branches of Chrome, with version 8.0.552.215 yesterday being upgraded to the stable version. Since Chrome has three development channels – stable, beta and developer preview – Chrome 8 will (for now) also populate the beta channel, and the 9.x branch will be the experimental version of the browser. A detailed changelog for the latest version of Chrome is available here, and you can download Chrome 8 here. |
