BIOFARM is a limited liability company found in 1988 by pharmacists.

Pharmacy Doctors Waldemar Szwarczyński and Andrzej Ostrowicz, highly experienced and scientifically skilled managers, represent the Board of the company. In 1982, Waldemar Szwarczyński together with his wife Grażyna Szwarczyńska, MSc Pharm, started business activity in manufacturing of cosmetic and dietary products.

Since the early 90’s the BIOFARM Company has been involved in manufacturing, marketing and distribution of ethical and OTC pharmaceutical products. It is a dynamic and successful company, which specialises in the manufacturing of generic medicines. The company offers a wide range of plant-derived products. BIOFARM registers its medicinal products in Eastern Europe and Far East.

Fast pace of development results from excellent quality of the products and services, flexibility, quick responsiveness and sensitivity to customers’ needs. Since 2001, the company posses the GMP certificate (Good Manufacturing Practice Certificate), fulfilling highest standards required in pharmaceutical manufacture.

The company headquarters are located in an area of 1.5 hectares in the central area of Poznań.

We introduce only modern medicinal products of well-proven efficacy and safety on the market. We manufacture products that fulfil current requirements of European standards. Satisfaction of patients is our primary concern. Constant improvement of the trade offer and fulfilment of expectations and needs of clients has enabled us to acquire a significant position on the Polish and international pharmaceutical markets.

We shall maintain the high quality of our products as well as positive opinion concerning our reliability and credibility in dealings with suppliers and business partners. We also concentrate our efforts on constant improvement of qualifications and specialisation of our staff.

Manufacturing

BIOFARM systematically increases the size of its portfolio. The current offer on the domestic market includes 25 medicinal products.

Four of these products are manufactured under the license of Gebro Fieberbrunn Company of Austria. The remaining medicines have been developed by the BIOFARM Company.

In 2003, Biofarm purchased a state-of-the-art, fully automated,

GMP-compliant SYNTHESIS 500 TABLET PRESS MACHINE.

The purchase was co-financed from EU

funds via the Phare 2001 Investment Subsidies Fund.
